A box that should never be opened; a mysterious woman who cannot be seen while she weaves; a jar that contains a poison or perhaps the sweetest of honeys... There is something that happens at the same moment in which something is prohibited, and the protagonists of the stories that make up Never open it, by Ken Niimura, they will face with all their might the irresistible desire to be tempted. Japan has an extensive repertoire of traditional legends grouped under the name Mukashi Banashi, some more than a thousand years old. These stories range from epic to comedic, and have been cherished by many generations. "They are also some of the stories that my parents read to me when I was little," recalls Ken Niimura, a Spanish cartoonist of Spanish-Japanese descent.
