For Yunis and Gaben, life on the family farm where they grew up is very simple. There they help with farm chores, invent games and get to know every corner of the forest. In Amal everything is predictable and safe, nothing bad can happen. Or so they believed until the day they break their uncle's unbreakable rule: do not go beyond the walls that surround the farm without supervision. From then on everything changes: Yunis knows that adults only tell her part of the truth, and she is determined to find the answers on her own. Together with her brother Gaben and her beloved Meres, Yunis will discover that her world is infinitely larger than she thought and she will have to assume a legacy that began thousands of years before her birth.
