Naranjas amargas

From the mansards of an English country mansion that almost threatens ruin, the young Frances spies on her neighbors, downstairs: Cara, a woman who likes to talk about her sad past, and Peter, her charming husband, a couple who try to enjoy life to the fullest. It is 1969 and the three have been hired to make a report on the state of the mansion and an inventory of their artistic objects for their new (and wealthy) North American owner. About thirty years later, Frances, ill and perhaps about to die, receives visits from the town vicar. Little by little, and from surprise to surprise, the reader will learn about the tragic events that took place that hot summer.
