From the heights of the atlas to the gates of the desert, halfway between memory and creation, music and song are at the heart of Berber culture. We present here a wide repertoire of charming lullabies, nursery rhymes, party songs and emotional love songs, recorded both in the studio and live in the field, in North Africa. Music that attests to the infinite richness and uniqueness of the Berber culture. The voices of the performers, Mucat, Rachid Brahim-Djelloul, Miléna Kartowski-Aïach and numerous adults and children, are harmoniously enhanced by the accompaniment of traditional instruments such as the ud, violin, flutes and percussion (darbuka, bless, carcabas...). The letters are reproduced in the original language and alphabet and translated into Spanish. Historical and cultural comments on each song are included at the end of the book.
