Mystic River

That day in 1975, when a car pulls up next to them, Dave Boyle, Sean Devine and Jimmy Marcus are too young to imagine that their destiny is going to change irretrievably. Two men pretending to be police force Dave into the vehicle on the pretext of taking him to his house. The child will appear four days later, but it will never be known what happened during that time. Twenty-five years later, Sean works as a homicide detective, Jimmy is an ex-con who runs a small business, and Dave is trying to save his marriage while he keeps his demons at bay, driving him to do horrible things. When Jimmy's daughter Katie is horribly murdered, the echoes of Dave's abduction return to their lives.
