Moss, Sarah

Throughout her seventeen years of life, Silvie has learned from her Iron Age fond father how the ancient Britons lived and also how some of them died: victims of ritual offerings at the hands of their own tribe. . Silvie's family participates in an "experience" organized by an archeology teacher for their students: to recreate the life of Britons on a camping trip in the north of England, adopt their customs and adapt to their living conditions. As the days go by, Silvie realizes that her father's eagerness to imitate the past with the greatest fidelity endangers the delicate balance of the group's coexistence, and wonders with dread what he will be willing to sacrifice on behalf of cultural purity.
