Moss, Sarah

Silvie, still a teenager, spends a few summer weeks with her parents in a camp in the north of England. They take part in a historical recreation with an archeology teacher and a small group of students studying the British, former settlers of Britain during the Iron Age. The father-bus driver and amateur historian- is a man obsessed with reliving the harsh existence of these men of antiquity, and pursues a kind of lost purity and authenticity: coexistence with nature, exploring in search of eating, dressing in rags, practicing rituals and sacrifices... Crowded in a rough territory, with disparate objectives on historical recreation, coexistence between them will not be easy. Living outdoors exacerbates relationships; authoritarian and violent instincts seem to find their way there, and recreation is approaching an unexpected climax.
