Premio Alemán del Libro 2021
Strubel, Antje Rávik
Adina grew up as the last teenager in her village in the Czech Giant Mountains. During a language course in Berlin, she meets photographer Rickie, who arranges an internship for her at a newly built cultural center in Uckermark. After a sexual assault by a West German cultural politician, Adina ends up stranded in Helsinki after an odyssey across half of Europe. There, Leonides, an Estonian political scientist and MEP, becomes her first stop. While he campaigns for human rights, Adina seeks a way out of internal exile.
