Morts al peu del Reial Alcàsser
Juvé, Teresa
Towards the end of the 16th century, Jaume Plagumà, the king's spokesman, Judge Pere Joanola and the faithful servant Simó went to Madrid, the new capital of Felipe II, invited by the count of Almenar to his daughter's wedding. Once there, the Widow Countess of Almenar expresses her displeasure at Plagumà because her son and young woman want to marry their granddaughter inappropriately, in her opinion. The groom is the Count of Valverdín, who according to the Countess Widow is haunted because he has wanted to marry twice and the two brides have died suddenly the night before and, of course, the lady suffers for the life of her granddaughter. Plagumán, who must be the godfather of the bride, will find himself in the Spanish court with the obstacle of having to solve what seems to be a case of multiple murder without the protection of the jurisdiction, because he is the spokesman for the king, but only in Catalonia. In Morts al peu del Reial Alcàsser we will discover how Jaume Plagumà's ingenuity excels above political powers and courtly twists.
