Mis días terrenales
Mallorca: ausencias y regresos
San Agustín, Arturo
For almost two years I lived in Mallorca, in Palma, in the legendary Terreno neighborhood. Sometimes I think that the so-called May '68 made it possible for some children of working families to live together for a while with some children of bourgeois families. And I think that happened in my "earthly" days. Never, except when I work as a journalist, I live in reality but in fiction. I say this because some of the protagonists of this book are inspired by real people, but others have only existed and continue to exist in my imagination. I often travel to Mallorca, that island to which I owe so much. At El Terreno I decided that I would only return when what some friends assure me is true: that this neighborhood will recover much of its lost personality. So be it. Nothing would make me happier than verifying that the Terrain has risen as I wrote this book.
