Miquel Strogoff

Verne, Jules

Michael Strogoff, a young man in the Russian Tsar's special postal corps, has a heroic and almost impossible mission: to deliver a letter to the Grand Duke, the Tsar's brother, to warn him of the imminent invasion of the Tatars. To achieve this, he will have to ride more than 5,000 kilometers from Moscow to Irkutsk, the capital of Eastern Siberia, traveling incognito and facing all kinds of dangers. During the journey he will make friends with Nàdia, a young Latvian who is also traveling to Irkutsk to meet his father, and with journalists Harry Blount and Alcide Jolivet, willing to help him. But the traitorous Ivan Ogareff, a revenge-hungry former Russian soldier, and an entire horde of Tatars, led by the fierce Feofar Kahn, will use all means at hand to intercept him and thwart his heroic deed.
