Nahia Alkorta was a victim of obstetric violence. She suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. She filed a lawsuit that went through all the judicial instances without being heard. But the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women agreed with him and urged Spain to adopt measures to eradicate obstetric violence.
