Mi boca florece como un corte
Sexton, Anne
Anne Sexton turned her life into poetic matter. She was a pioneer in confessional lyric and thus opened the way for other writers who admired her crude exposition of intimacy and a treatment of subjects considered taboo, for writing in general and for a woman in particular. The vital sincerity that characterizes her work reveals passion and pain. "Poems and only poems have saved my life," he said, although in the end they were not enough to prevent him from taking his life at the age of XX. This selection, by Luna Miguel, borders on female sexuality and violence against the body of women.
