Mythological epic par excellence, the Metamorphoses is one of the magnificent works of Ovid. The set of memorable stories that have served throughout the centuries as the subject of innumerable parts by the arts and sciences deserved a careful critical edition in the Gredos Classical Library. With this third and last volume, the astonishing Ovidian catalog of more than two hundred mutations culminates, among which we can find such famous passages as those of Narcissus, Echo or Apollo and Daphne, just to mention some of their most beautiful examples.
