Carlisle, Kate

Brooklyn Wainwright, an expert in rare books and antiques, participates in a bookbinding conference organized by the Bay Area Book Arts in San Francisco, in which, among others, the first edition of Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens, is auctioned. A few days after the start of the event, the director, Layla Fontaine, is found dead from a gunshot wound and Brooklyn decides to investigate the crime. Although the murderer will try to get her to turn over a new leaf, the lies are like loose sheets... impossible to bind with the truth.
