Memorias de cine
Gutiérrez Caba, Emilio
In these "Cinema Memories", Emilio Gutiérrez Caba covers his time in Spanish cinematography from his first appearance in "Como dos gotas de agua" with the twin actresses Pili and Mili (1963), going through his most awarded films, "Nine letters to Berta", by Basilio Martín Patino (1966), and "La caza", by Carlos Saura (1966), and with the last appearances in films so appreciated by himself as "Little Lives", by Enrique Gabriel (2004). ; "The tower of Suso", by Tom Fernández (2006); "Palm trees in the snow", by Fernando G. Molina (2014); "Neruda" by Pablo Larraín (2015); "The man with a thousand faces", by Alberto Rodríguez (2015), or "The tree of blood", by Julio Medem (2017). Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, in addition to narrating how his first contact with the world of cinema was, tells throughout its pages numerous anecdotes, unknown aspects of the filming in which he participated and recalls many people who are no longer with us. He tries to be impartial in his statements, but takes sides regarding the films in which he participated and shows his preferences openly. In short, this book is a good sample of what has been and is the cinematographic habitat in Spain.
