Meditaciones

Marco Aurelio

Marcus Aurelius wrote his Meditations during breaks from his political and war activities. These reflections were intended to remind him of the fundamental maxims of Stoicism and to help him apply them in his day-to-day life so as not to deviate from the primary goal: to be a better person. Organized into twelve books, they deal with universal and timeless themes such as the fleetingness of time or the correct way to conduct oneself in life. These texts full of wisdom teach us to learn to live with humility and to protect ourselves from external aggression, the fluctuations of fortune and the dangers of passions.
