Medicina sagrada
un viaje por la historia y las tradiciones de las plantas maestras y las sustancias psicodélicas y un manual para su uso terapéutico
Johnson, Cody
For centuries, in most traditional cultures, psychedelic plants and mushrooms have been sacred and respected as powerful medicines. Many indigenous peoples integrated them into the journey of their lives and passed on from generation to generation the fundamental knowledge that they obtained from them. However, modern Western culture, determined to destroy everything it does not understand, has made them the object of prohibitions or the source of all kinds of fear. After decades of unwarranted stigmatization, master plants and psychedelics are beginning to be accepted in the context of our society. It seems that we are beginning to remember what we have known for centuries: psychedelics and other visionary substances have healing and transformative properties, useful both for the treatment of various mental illnesses (anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress syndrome...), and for the personal and spiritual development.
