Medicina en femení

de les remeieres medievals a les trementinaires (amb recull d'herbes i remeis)

Sabaté, Glòria

Remedial herbs have always accompanied humans in the care of their health. People have known how to use them for healing purposes, and often this use has been linked to magical and religious practices, which, in some cases, have even had more weight than the benefits that their active principles could bring. For centuries, the compilation of this knowledge connected to nature, life and death has been transmitted orally and closely linked to the female figure. This book is a small tribute to the silenced, belittled, punished and forgotten voice of many of these women transmitters of ancestral knowledge. Despite the disauthorization strategies, despite the obstacles and misgivings, the thread that unites the medieval healers and witches with the turpentines has not been broken.
