Fleeing from Collioure, Mattéo and his companions landed in Barcelona. However, the Italian-made weapons arouse the suspicions of the Republicans. After a little confusion, Matteo, Amélie and Robert show their willingness to fight in the contest. But, on whose side? Socialists? Communists? Anarchists? This is where the problems begin. Robert, the communist, and Matteo, the anarchist, will diverge in the choice of their combat unit and their friendship will suffer. Robert will leave by his side while Mattéo and Amélie go to fight in the town of Alcetria. But why Alcetria?
