Mateo perdió el empleo

Mateo responds to a mysterious job ad in the newspaper seeking company to help a young woman with various activities. Mateo doesn't fully understand what this job consists of, but he lost his job eight months ago and decides to try his luck. After going to the address and ringing the bell, he is greeted by a woman with no arms. He can only say one thing: "I did not understand the announcement." To which she replies: "It may seem ridiculous, but when it rains...". Like pieces of dominoes that fall one on top of the other, in Mateo several characters lost their jobs and their stories follow one another to make way for new ones, in a fun literary game in which Gonçalo M. Tavares invites the reader not to settle down and to immediately abandon one idea for another. All, however, lead to the same place, to the central character, to Mateo, to the man who lost his job.
