Marta ante el espejo
monólogo teatral
Calo, Teresa
Marta is around seventeen years old. She or she had them when she crossed to the other side of the mirror, to that of empty, painless, irreversible eternity. The mirror before which she now remembers the last months of her life does not give him back the image of her. Only memories. But also sensations. Her relief not having, for example, to hear her mother's cry, or the echoes of her father's dull despair. The feeling of liberation that comes from not being forced to pretend to eat, or worse yet, actually eat something to satisfy her family ... In a theatrical monologue that reads like a story, Marta speaks to herself frankly and harshness typical of her condition, filing with irony the edges of memories that will inevitably lead her to longing for that Marta who one day ceased to be.
