Marsella confidencial

Thomazeau, François

Marseille, April 1936. A week before the legislative elections, a guard named Antoine Cardella is brutally shot dead in a street in a working-class neighborhood, between the political campaign premises of Socialist candidate Pierre-Ferri Pisani and Simon Sabiani, leader of the far right. Who benefits from the murder of this policeman, known for his commitments and loyalties to all politicians? Well to everyone and no one, because in this story there are a good handful of intertwined friendships, enmities and arrangements, interested alliances or ephemeral disputes in the jungle of a rebellious and violent city in full decline. While Cardella survives in the hospital in critical condition, we discover the miseries of a mafia system.
