María de Magdala

It has been difficult and at the same time very beautiful to get into the skin of Mary of Magdala, a woman whom I have always admired and respected. She was a witness to the resurrection of the Lord and commissioned by Him to communicate it to others. In this novel I have imagined her as a strong, intelligent and brave woman who wanted to be the protagonist of her own existence in a society in which women meant nothing. After her encounter with Jesus, the love of her life, everything inside her was disrupted and her shadows disappeared from her existential horizon. There are many women who today, in the 21st century, consider her a role model.
