Manual de telepsicología

For a few years we have been witnessing a growth in telepsychology, that is, the provision of psychology services through Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). The presence of messaging systems on mobile phones, the generalization of videoconferencing applications and the huge offer of apps with health content have been entering consultations in a surreptitious way, one might almost say, in the last ten years. Many times, professionals have been in tow of patients and unforeseen situations -such as the COVID-19 pandemic- in its implementation, in its study and in the generation of guidelines and directives. However, it is very likely that telepsychology is going to be an already inseparable part of the new normal. For this reason, this brief Telepsychology Manual arises, oriented both to practicing professionals and students, which addresses ethical and technical aspects, the therapeutic alliance through ICTs and the different technological alternatives in a simple but solid way, offering specific guidelines and transferring specific competencies based on the guides, research and summaries of good practices that we began to find available.
