Mañana me voy

This book is the diary of a six-day walking march through the north of the province of Soria. The landscape notes and the adventures of the excursion alternate in the text with brief reflections on a handful of topics: the self and others, loneliness and freedom, pessimism and hope, illness, passion for the roads and doubts about writing. There are also three or four allusions to the end of a love story. Nature is very present in the story, as well as the destruction caused by the metal mills and the desolation of the abandoned towns that dot the route. Crossing places of austere beauty, Víctor Colden chains memories, whistles songs and asks questions, talks with the people he encounters and dialogues with authors such as Stevenson, Machado, Pasolini or Abel Hernández from Soriano.
