Mal de escuela

Bad school addresses the issue of school and education from an unusual point of view, that of bad students. Pennac, a lousy student in his time, studies this figure of popular folklore, granting him the nobility he deserves and restoring him the burden of anguish and pain that inevitably accompanies him. From his own experience as a "chump" and as a teacher, the author reflects on pedagogy and the dysfunctions of the school institution, on the student's feeling of exclusion and the teacher's love of teaching.
