The civil war in the former Yugoslavia has deprived the young woman, Arjeta Filipo, of her homeland. When she, at forty, finds some old photos of her during a move she suddenly understands much of her dark life story. In this way, she Arjeta re-examines the cracks in her consciousness and her life. Cherrywood is about the beleaguered city, Istria, the sea of her childhood and youth, and his escapades in the early '90s that changed everything. Misha Weisband, an ornithologist, becomes his confidante, while Nadezhda, a physicist, becomes his best friend. There is a secret that unites them, but also separates them.
