Luces de invierno
Elorrieta, Irati
Luces de Invierno transports us to a contemporary Berlin, the place where all the characters that surround the protagonist converge, Añes, a Basque woman who left her town to go to Paris and from there, through vicissitudes that you will discover while savoring this novel, to Berlin. Berlin is the center but each character has a history and roots that, although they do not determine his life, they do mark them indelibly. The uprooting and the found affections that it provokes -melancholy and a feeling of freedom, detachment and the need for memory, loneliness and independence- is one of the threads that weaves the plot. In this uprooting, or in the lives of nomads and migrants, many lives fit: relationships in which the psychological abuse is evident but which are maintained perhaps to alleviate loneliness, friendships that will last a lifetime and survive the misunderstandings, fickle friendships that disappear with movement, intersecting stories, intertwined stories.
