Los soldados del cielo

After returning from the Russian front with the Blue Division, Father Ramón Azcoitia is recruited by the Government to investigate a series of events of an allegedly supernatural nature behind which the commanders suspect that the last pockets of resistance are hiding behind the Civil war. Azcoitia will join a group of soldiers, commanded by Captain Arturo Lafuente, with whom he will try to stop these pockets of resistance, facing ogres, witches and other legendary beings who serve as a disguise for those who still fight the Regime. The soldiers will discover that from the ashes of the war they thought they had left behind, a terrible enemy has risen that they will have to fight with more than the weapons of a soldier and the faith of a priest. With The Soldiers of Heaven, Ismael Orcero Marín presents us with an adventure with pulp echoes set in the Spanish Postwar period, in which the classic elements of the genre will not be lacking, but taking them to the native environment.
