Rubén and Amalia, once brothers-in-law, meet at the doorway of the huge apartment building where they live. They not only discover that they have been neighbors for a long time, but also that neither of them has ever felt like the protagonist of their own lives. For fear of hurting or hurting themselves, they have followed the wishes of others: Rubén, trying to fit into his family, with the permanent fear of being rejected; Amalia, selfish and a liar, competing with her sister since she was a child. First separately and then together, they try to put their memories in order, and make sense of what their lives have been up to that day.
