Los perros de Tíndalos
Long, Frank Belknap
Frank Belknap Long is known primarily for his relationship with the Lovecraft Circle, his horror and science fiction stories, his contributions to Weird Tales magazine, and for being the creator of the Cthulhu Mythos. In this careful selection, not only the most representative works of him are collected, but also the best of him. It includes the two stories that the author originally wrote in the manner of Providence: "The Space-Eaters" and "The Hounds of Tindalos", and the short novel "The Horror from the Hills" and one of his last pieces, just reissued, "Dark Awakening". An essential volume in which we find from the atmospheric and philosophical terror of Lovecraft, to the adventure and police genre in which Long introduces investigators equipped with ultra-advanced technology, characters who look at the primal ones from you to you, chase them, corner them and defeat them. With an agile style, based on continuous adventures and above all on dialogue, almost like a comic book script, Long inaugurates a subgenre whose creative and mythological codes continue to be updated to this day.
