Los muebles del mundo

Menéndez Salmón, Ricardo

During the trip to Mexico to attend the funeral of Charles Mingus with his jazz quartet, Peyton wakes up from a terrible drunk with two certainties: that the woman he has slept with has stolen his money, his suit and his harmonica, and that his companions have left him stranded to go to a beach in Acapulco. A dying boy, locked in a train car along with other bodies tortured by hunger and thirst, finds his only solace in what he sees through a crack in the wood. Jaime, obsessed with numbers, believes that every life can be reduced to numbers, including his: 36 robberies, 3 murders, 2 properties, 2 children, 1 ex-wife, 1 Brazilian girlfriend and 1 Suzuki.
