Ortega continues to be an attractive thinker today, and his philosophy points to very current issues. Starting from this base, we will deepen the historical reason of Ortega through his philological proposal as a precedent of the currents of Philosophy of language that appear throughout the 20th century, such as hermeneutics and conceptual history. To do this, his linguistic proposal is framed within the context of exile in which he develops, since it is significant to understand his thought during a time of conflict and wars that delimit a complicated historical framework for thought.
