Los extraños
Bilbao, Jon
Jon and Katharina spend the winter on the Cantabrian coast. They are staying in his old family home, too big for two people. They feel lonely, and when Katharina unwantedly gets pregnant, she begins to wonder if moving in with him was a good idea. Two events come to alter the routine of the couple. One night strange lights appear in the sky. The next morning, Markel, Jon's distant cousin, shows up at the house by surprise. He is accompanied by the attractive and silent Virginia, a kind of assistant. The situation soon becomes uncomfortable: the cousins do not remember ever seeing each other and Jon doubts that Markel is who he claims to be; Virginia's presence becomes more and more threatening and, furthermore, the visitors not only do not seem to want to leave, but are beginning to take over the house little by little. In spite of everything, Jon and Katharina are fascinated by those strangers in whom they see a remedy for their boredom and perhaps also for their problems.
