Los estragos de Sharpe
Campaña de Portugal (1809)
Cornwell, Bernard
Everything changes when the future Duke of Wellington finally arrives to take command and decides to prepare a counterattack. Then Sharpe must decide whether to become a hunter instead of a hunted. And, amid the remains of a defeated army, in the hills of the Portuguese border hit by a terrible storm, the lieutenant will launch in search of the young woman and, in addition, of a terrible revenge. Portugal, 1809. British troops maintain a very unstable position while waiting for Wellington's arrival. For his part, Sharpe is on a mission to find a missing young woman. And, on the other hand, the advance of the Napoleonic forces does not stop. Porto has fallen, and Sharpe and his men have to rush out of the city. Something that is impossible: they are stranded between the enemy lines, isolated after the collapse of the bridge over the Duero that gives access to the capital.
