Especially in his early years, Franz Kafka drew intensely and with artistic ambitions. Upon his death, however, he not only wanted to destroy his literary legacy, but also all of his drawings. After his friend Max Brod managed to save many, most of them remained hidden for decades. Here they are published in full for the first time, and they make a second Kafka visible beyond his facet as a great writer.
