Los brotes negros
en los picos de ansiedad
Fernández Porta, Eloy
What remains of a person when he writes "my head is my enemy"? A broken self-portrait, a notebook of psychic suffering or the account of the life of an ex: ex-workaholic, ex-partner and ex-member of the Club of the Mentally Healthy. The Black Buds, which could also be called The Good Tears, clearly describes the symptoms and intensities of a prolonged anxiety disorder, and its dark bloom: the phases of despair, the episodes of anger, the suicidal thoughts. Something more or something less than an individual, what is drawn in its lines is an experimental subject - "let's see if this other pill takes effect" - whose biorhythms, altered to the point of collapse, somatize the exalted speed of production, profession and capital.
