Los bosques perdidos

Humanity has taken the artificial world that it has created very far. She has sought to isolate herself, in her cities of steel and concrete, from the realities of land and water. Intoxicated with the feeling of her own power, she seems to want to go deeper and deeper into her experiments in destroying her world and her own race. I am not afraid of being labeled a sentimentalist if I stand here today and tell you that I believe that natural beauty should occupy a place in the spiritual development of every individual and every society. When we destroy beauty, or when we substitute a natural attribute of the earth for something artificial created by man, we are delaying part of the spiritual growth of the human being.
