Los Austrias
la historia ilustrada del imperio donde nunca se ponía el sol
Aragón, Juan de
Nievas, David
In the 16th century, a new dynasty came to the throne of the unified crowns of Castile and Aragon. From distant Austria, the Habsburgs would add their enormous territories to those already conquered by the Catholic Monarchs in America and Italy, forming the most powerful and extensive empire in Western Europe. For two hundred years, the Habsburgs ruled sometimes with an iron fist and sometimes with a silk glove. Wars, betrayals, marriages and secret love affairs ensued, while the thirds defended their European possessions and the conquerors expanded them to the other side of the globe.
