Germany, May 1938. The specter of Nazism threatens Europe but Felicia, strong and nonconformist, decisively handles the helm of her family and her company. Her daughter Belle does not care about politics, she only thinks about her career in film and the man of her dreams, whom she hopes to marry very soon. The ceremony will be held at Lulinn's family home and the entire family will attend except for her mother, who has decided to accompany her Jewish partner to the border. Soon after, Susanne, her other daughter, receives a marriage proposal from a young SS officer. None of those three women imagine the descent into hell that is coming. Her country will be razed and divided, and the entire world will wage a fierce fight for survival. When peace finally comes, only the luckiest will reappear amid the ruins of a bomb-ravaged landscape.
