Los altruistas
Ridker, Andrew
Arthur Alter is not having a good time. A college professor, mediocre and in his sixties, he has had enough of his very young girlfriend, he can't pay the mortgage and his children, Ethan and Maggie, don't speak to him. To avoid losing the luxurious family home, Arthur decides to invite them to spend a weekend with the excuse of a reconciliation, but with the real intention of getting hold of the small secret fortune that his late wife Francine bequeathed to them. Since the death of his mother, Ethan has lived in New York and has become a hermit. He's quit his job, bought an apartment he can't afford, and his share of the inheritance is all but gone. Maggie, for her part, has become something of a willing ascetic. She doesn't want to touch her mother's legacy, but, at the same time, she only gets low-paying jobs that don't even give her a living. Against all odds, they both accept his father's invitation without him imagining that they all have a hidden agenda.
