A novel made up of a series of interconnected stories; all of them related to the past, the secrets and the resentment of a lineage. These are the confessions of three generations of a Galician family as they wait to bury their matriarch and the family home prepares to close its doors forever. Their stories reveal the Galician ethos and, in turn, express the universal struggle that comes with being human. Here, there is room for love and death, for the strangeness of changes in a familiar place and of personal transformation in a static environment, for the fantastic legend and for the very material problems of enmity, betrayal and mistreatment. .
