A few weeks before the elections in the Basque Country, Arturo, press officer of a young political party, spends the worst morning of his life: minutes after his girlfriend breaks up with him definitively and closes the door in his face, he is told also that the candidate of his party, Lara Rico, has mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Forced by circumstances, Arturo must pull himself together, organize the search and begin a long and inevitable journey towards maturity. A fast-paced novel in which the classic elements of the political thriller are mixed with a lucid and ruthless analysis of the Basque social reality through bizarre businessmen, migrants, sinister neo-Nazis, young people excited about a new stage in the Basque Country and the blurred presence of former members and structures of ETA. What I know about us is a generational novel in suspense between the past and the future, drama and comedy, hope for a new future and resignation for a past whose shadow is cast inexorably over the entire country.
