Lo que el día debe a la noche

Khadra, Yasmina

In the French Algeria of the 1930s, Younes, an Algerian boy harmed by the ruin of his father, ends up being accepted by wealthy settlers in the capital, Oran. With the name of Jonas, he grows among them, he ties his friendships in that circle and also experiences love as a result of the appearance of the fascinating Émilie, the object of rivalry between the four friends. However, the Algerian revolt comes to upset everything and the War of Independence forces him to make a decision that he will put at stake, such as the war itself, roots, friendships, convictions and loyalties.
