There are always people who do not have it easy, who are left out of the big events or who star in them in a tragic way and then fall into oblivion. This is what happened to the Moorish population of the Kingdom of Valencia between the revolt of the Germanies and their final expulsion in the early seventeenth century. In this historical novel, Enric Lluch imagines the life of the Beni Palau, a Moorish family from La Ribera who have been experiencing religious and cultural persecution for three generations. And so it helps to restore the memory and word of the disinherited.
