A tour where a new dating of the manuscript copies will be discovered, some of which identify the author and the origin, something that has never been attempted until now. A single translation -and not two- into Catalan of the Liber iudicum is proposed; a task carried out under the direction of Barcelona judge Ponç Bonfill Marc, to whom the authors recognize an important role also in the compilation of the Usatges. The book, with completely new critical editions of the first texts in Catalan, also presents a first list of Catalan writers from the pre-literary period. An exciting panorama that will allow us to see the true reasons for the emergence of written Catalan (and other Romance languages). In short, a completely new vision, presented in a flat form, but based at all times on the most rigorous method, without missing the fine irony, or a nice parody in Catalan typical of the 11th century.
