¡Liberaos!

el fracaso de la política de indignación y el regreso de la responsabilidad

Milián, Juan

In 2011, Stéphane Hessel's book ¡Indignaos!, a call for indignation as a motor for political change, was published in Spain. It would soon become a reference work for the Spanish radical left and would end up naming the members of the 15-M movement, the "indignados", the germ of the Podemos political party. More than a decade later, the PSOE governs with the leaders of indignation and, far from contributing to a democratic regeneration, we observe the dismantling of the pillars of the constitutional pact by the hands of pro-independence parties. Juan Milián anticipated in 2021 the paths that he was going to follow in Spanish politics after the motion of no confidence in Mariano Rajoy opened the doors of La Moncloa to the process and its dynamics. Since then, and especially throughout 2022, there has been a contagion of the populist strategy of the pro-independence leaders in Spain.
