Les escoles que canvien el món
Bona, César
There are schools that are changing education. They're not in Finland or Sweden, they're here. Some are rural and some public, some have kindergarten and primary school students, others also high school, high school or vocational school, but all are "Changemarker schools" and are ready to lead a real educational transformation. César Bona has traveled to seven cities and towns following the path of some of the schools that fight for every boy and girl to have the opportunity to become an agent of change. These centers have motivated students, committed teachers and complicit parents. Excellent schools from an academic point of view, with a comprehensive project in which respect, creativity, imagination, teamwork, empathy, interaction with the neighborhood and society are the best way to complete the teaching of traditional subjects. The author has interviewed teachers, parents and students and tells us, with a personal and close voice, the projects they are carrying out, what they have achieved and how all of us, regardless of our age, can contribute a lot. We must not forget that children are not the adults of tomorrow, they are the inhabitants of the present. If we reinforce their natural creativity, their overflowing imagination, and work on empathy, solidarity, and respect, they can change the world. Not in the future, but now.
