Les cendres a la piscina is a story full of color and irony about a Majorcan family that revolves around the figure of the patriarch, Sebastià, who goes from being a farmer to getting rich by building hotels for tourists. His conjugal and family life is punctuated by three women of very different temperaments and origins: na Catalina, na Mercedes and the unexpected Leidi, who underline the protagonist's rise and fall in a world that spins very fast.
